About

Hi, I’m James, I’m 18, and I am currently navigating my way through a gap year. I’ve just finished my A-level qualifications which of course included maths as well as teaching myself further maths. For as long as I can remember, maths has always been my favourite subject.

The very first article I published on this site, “The most efficient way to solve a Rubik’s cube”, was initially written for entry into a maths essay competition. I soon realised I found the process of researching and collating information thoroughly enjoyable. Fast forward to now and I’ve decided to utilise some of my time to continue this endeavour – whilst also sharing my findings with others.

I am completely aware that only a handful of people will ever read this. Not everyone is increasingly fascinated by the widespread applications of mathematics all around us. Not everyone is a nerd, like me, put simply. But to those who are reading this sentence, thank you I appreciate you, and I hope you can learn a thing or two from this blog!
